Nanny rates in Melbourne typically range from $20-$45 per hour or more depending on experience or specialised care. Happy Nanny will work with you and your nanny to determine a price that suits everyone.
-
It’s best to update your insurance policy to include your nanny.
Families also need to ensure car seats are installed to meet appropriate safety standards.
-
For full time nannies we offer a one time fee.
For casual nannies you can subscribe to a monthly fee or a one off fee.
-
A written agreement is advisable to be organised by the families and agreed by the nannies. An example of what this agreement would entail are:
Hourly rate and payment cycle
Notice on schedule changes
Notice of termination
How to organise leave
Responsibilities
-
Our recommendation is that nannies should be booked for three hours as a minimum shift.
-
Once the nanny and the child have their rhythm you can discuss what chores your nanny can take on.
We recommend keeping the chores related to childcare-related work (eg. preparing meals, doing their laundry, picking up their toys, unpacking the dishwasher).
